What’s this Novel Blondes thing all about? Well, it started with an ongoing conversation with my bestie/cousin ( one of the true original Novel Blondes). What we each would do if we had no fears, reservations, or excuses? Keep in mind, there may have been a little liquid courage fueling the talk. We come from a long line of highly literate, opinionated, goal setting, barrier smashing, book pusher blondes.

But back to the bold talk: my BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) was….start a blog. Not just any blog. An informative, conversational, meaningful blog. At least to readers who crave book talk, real talk, travel and exploration, but of course, not the usual locales. Those other people, the ones who stop at every author’s historic marker, have to pull over because you know, this is THE cemetery where THAT writer was buried. Those freaks who binge read while others binge watch TV. Those fanatics who collect every first edition, signed is even better, from their favorite author. People who stop you in public to talk about a book, can’t visit a new city without finding a bookstore, and can’t imagine travelling, be it a few miles or a continent without a book  or three packed.

That’s my tribe, that’s my vibe. If you’re here, I hope it’s yours as well. We will get along FAMOUSLY!

 

Now, I do feel it’s in the best interest of our blooming friendship to warn you….if I provide any fashion tips or DIY posts, I’ll try to make sure the don’t fall into the FAIL category!  What you will get: honest book reviews, some vicarious travel, a few funny stories, and hopefully the inspiration to do your own life adventuring.

And remember, you don’t have to be a blonde, to be a NOVEL BLONDE!
