Four Reasons to Move to Virginia Now

Virginia, one of the most beautiful states in the country, is known to be for lovers. But it’s also a state for any life you want to live. Whether you’re young and enjoy a significant change in life, you’re a family wanting to settle down, or you’re retiring and want somewhere to live the easy life- Virginia is for everyone.  Here are the top four reasons everyone should move to Virginia the moment they get the chance!

The Views

From gorgeous coastlines to deep and mysterious caverns in the mountains, Virginia’s lands never cease to amaze and entertain.  Depending on where you land, you’ll find yourself greeted by endless views that would make anyone want to move to the state immediately.  Although everyone should try to get to know the state independently, there are hundreds of tourist spots you should take in.

The History

Virginia has a lot of firsts and early occurrences under its belt.  From being home to Jamestown, the first colony, through its history as an essential trade port, Virginia has been an active face of America.  Even now, it shares the country’s capital with Maryland.  Because of this proximity to the capital, a lot of history has been undertaken this low on the river, with museums springing up by the dozen.  The top three tourist destinations in the state even have to do with its rich history.  George Washington’s Mount Vernon is where the country’s first president raised and grew his crops.  Colonial Williamsburg is a top attraction for anyone wanting to relive a little of the history.  Finally, the Arlington National Cemetery is the home to many soldiers who passed to defend this country.

The Jobs

Virginia is lucky enough to have some of the top-paying jobs in the country.  This state is in the top six for the highest paying states in the USA.  A lot of this percentage is thanks to military and government jobs in the capital.  Although some people may think of Virginia as a wild and free state, jobs here are good enough to move for them.  Many people visit, and they immediately start looking for Arlington real estate so that they can stay forever.  The state is pretty recession-proof, allowing those who live there to maintain jobs even in the country’s worst financial times.

The Education

Being one of the oldest states in the country, having all of that history, and being as close to the capital as it is, Virginia has a firm grasp of why education is essential.  While not home to any ivy-league schools, the state as a whole emphasizes education and ensuring every child is knowledgeable.  Schools are generally more affordable in Virginia, and public schools for kids are intelligently led and thoughtful about their student base.  A child getting an education in Virginia gets to learn in the state where a lot of history is actively happening. That’s an incredible once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
